A little lady with two adoring big brothers.

The longer I’ve been doing this, the more I learn about families of all kinds, and I really believe that when it comes to ‘age gaps’, there is no right and wrong way to do it. There are pros and cons to smaller age gaps (like my kids, 18 months), and larger gaps (like these kids, who are all 4+ years apart). I used to tell parents NOT to have their kids as close together as I did, but now I tell them that if they can get through the first 5 years of craziness, that it pays off big time 🙂 It’s really about finding what works for your family (if you are fortunate enough to be able to plan, in many situations gaps are out of the parents’ control and we all need to be sensitive to that.) Also the age at which you have babies is totally a personal choice and again, there are pros and cons to both. Basically all families are great, and all families are hard 🙂

Kenna came to the studio with her older brothers and she was such a little dolly, it was adorable seeing them with her (one definite pro for me with older siblings like this: they can actually hold their sibling without fear of them being thrown or kicked!) Once they were off to school for the day we focused on getting a few images of her and she was so good for me, I just loved her session so much.

Welcome to the world, sweet Kenna.
