A backyard wedding that matched any grand affair.
So, it goes without saying that the 2020 wedding season is looking a little different than we had all planned…most of my weddings for this year have either been cancelled or re-scheduled to 2021, but I had a few couples who decided that one way or the other, they were going ahead with their special day…Erin and Kevin were one of those couples.
They were originally supposed to get married at Kingsbrae Gardens in Saint Andrews with a large crowd, but moved it to Erin’s parents’ backyard in Hampton with around 40 of their friends and family. Luckily for them, the backyard was GORGEOUS, they got married on a stunning dock, and we were granted access to a private garden that honestly rivaled Kingsbrae in its beauty. Erin’s mom made a lot of the food (and the cake), local flowers were used, they did much of the decor themselves, and it was still elegant, relaxed, and lovely. In the end, it all worked out (even the temperamental August weather), and I’m so happy it did for them.
It was my first wedding in 10 months, and yet it felt like riding a bike, pleasant and familiar 🙂
Congrats to the 2 lovebirds, good luck house hunting!! (A nice bonus to having a smaller wedding…)
